About 12 CBC Riders took part in the 2017 Kentish Killer – one of the toughest of the local sportives with a large amount of climbing.

The start at Brands Hatch – groups of about 15 riders were started at 1 minute intervals.

With a lot of ascent there is also a lot of decent.

Big climbs on this route include Carter’s hill followed by Hubbards Hill, then a few smaller hills such as Fordcombe climb before the gentler long climb up Black Hill in the Ashdown Forest.  The return to the North Downs gives the “fun” of Ide Hill,  then Sundridge hill followed by Row Dow before one last short but very steep Tinkerpot lane.
