Well done Colin in a very respectable time on the Fred Whitton Challenge – a “few” hills in the Lake District.

The start – everyone feeling fresh (and very cold – temperatures only just above freezing)

Colin – making the hills look easy!

Even time for a selfie!

Seriously tough gradients on Hardknott pass – seems that Colin is the only one still on his bike!

This is actually one of the toughest sportives in the UK, covering 112 miles and 3950m of climbing over 6 Cumbrian passes with gradients of over 30%.
